Spiders are the most common call we get out of Mernda, and the new estates are the reason. Fresh brick, Colorbond fences, big eaves and outdoor areas with nothing on them yet are exactly what black house spiders want, and the paddocks, the Plenty Gorge and the river supply the insects. Redbacks move into the underside of outdoor furniture, the switchboard, the water tank stand and the kids' play gear within the first season, and huntsmen come inside through the garage when the weather turns.
Our spider treatment covers the whole roofline, eaves, gutters, every window and door surround, the fence lines, the carport, the shed and any play equipment, then we web-brush the obvious nests so the house looks clean straight away. Inside we treat skirtings, behind furniture and the garage. Most homes see a clear drop within days and stay that way through the season, and we tell you honestly whether yours is a once-a-year place or a twice-a-year place.
